Airports, spilling coffee, and pinching bums...
Well, Tim and I were meant to fly to Kosovo today to stay at his parents' house there for 10 days, but when we got there this morning the flight was cancelled due to technical difficulties. After spending like 5 years in the customer service line to get our flights moved to tomorrow, we decided to hang out in the airport for another half hour, just for no reason. I went to get us some coffee at a nearby kiosk, and the barista was so overwhelmed with customers that, as he took my order, he pleaded with me, "Take me with you! I don't care where you're going, just take me with you!"
Tim and I sat on the airport lounge floor drinking our coffee when this guy who couldn't handle his suitcase rammed in to me and spilled my coffee... as Tim says, "It looks like you did a wee!" Oh well.
Then there was this grumpy old lady who kept giving us the hairy eye ball. Think Save The Last Dance. Whenever I smiled at her she looked the other way, embarrassed and still grumpy. I asked Tim, "What do you think she'd do if I went over and pinched her on the bum?" She looked like she could use a good bum pinch anyway. Moments later, we realised why she was standing around looking "pinched", cos she was waiting for her travelling companion who was late. To our surprise, they checked in at the Amsterdam counter! Who would have thought, two grannies off to get high on hash!
