Well I figured I oughtta post!!

Exhausted! Went to Jude and Angus' wedding on Friday at Morningside Baptist, and then partied until about midnight. I love ceilidhs but they are so exhausting, especially if you have a double-whammy like we did...

The following day we got up at 6:30 am and drove to Aberdeenshire where I sang in (and Tim operated the sound equipment for) Jennie and Dave's wedding (at a CASTLE no less!) and partied again til 1am. The bride and groom's first dance was INCREDIBLE! They swing-danced to 'Face the music and dance'. We got to see Mark and Jenny Stirling again, which was lovely, and their 13 year old daughter Catriona was one of the bride's maids (she said when she came down the aisle, that was only the 2nd time she'd seen Mark cry!) Awww...

Now we're returning to normal life as I nurse my ceilidh bruises and midgie bites. Currently reading Siberian Light by Robin White... it's set in Siberia (duh) and centres round the murder of a rich man and 2 militia men, lots of coverups, KGB, etc. It's pretty slow and dull right now, but I'm going to hang on til the end!

We are having burritos tonight!!! Yum. Can't wait.

Got sidetracked...
...and ended up reading Catcher in the Rye instead, upon Tim's recommendation. It is NOTHING like I imagined it would be. I thought it would be a political napalm or something about colonialism...???
It's actually a story about a swarthy 17-year-old liar who has terrible language and wants to get in to every woman's dungarees. Haven't finished it, and am still intrigued, but it's not a book that I enjoy.
Thoughts?

Got rejection letters for the 2 jobs I wanted most. Dang. At first was pretty upset but now just feelin resigned. Still waiting to hear about 3 jobs I don't want as much, but Father knows best and that's gonna be okay.

Was in Birmingham doin a study week for FFM (distance learning course)... only 3,500 words of essay to go!! Whew. Got back Friday night and then on Saturday morning got up early to go to a friend's house and fix her hair for her WEDDING! And she wore my watch (we had matching watches by coincidence and her watch stopped this week) and I wore her shirt to the wedding. :-) Was lots of fun. Bride and groom were both in my choir so it was a big choir event among other things.

This week will be spent whoopin that essay's butt... and more job hunting. Looking forward to it in a strange kind of way: the paper is researching and writing a Bible study on a passage of Romans.
